- How Much Is Tuition?
Tuition for grades 7-8 is $3300 per year for high school, with a discounted rate of $3250 per year offered to Catholic student with a second Jr High Student at 3000. Yearly tuition is divided into ten equal payments that are due August through May.
Tuition for grades 9-12 is $3500 per year, and is divided into ten equal payments that are due August through May. A second student is discounted to $3250.
- Is There a Book Fee?
Students in grades 7-8 rent their books from the school for $300.00 per year, and books are turned into the school at the end of the school year. Students in grades 9-12 rent their textbooks at an average (but variable) cost of $300.00 per year.
- What If My Child Isn’t Catholic?
Although all students are required to attend weekly Mass and participate in religious education classes that teach a Catholic & Christian worldview, Catholic schools do not indoctrinate students and have the highest esteem for our students of other faith traditions. In fact, well over half of St. Joseph’s students and faculty are non-Catholic. Regardless of your family’s faith background, your child will find acceptance and validation for his or her beliefs and traditions at St. Joseph.
- Do Students Wear Uniforms?
Yes, all students are required to wear uniforms. Further information about uniform requirements can be found in the Student Handbook or by contacting the school office at (870) 540-0413.
- Do You Have a Lunch Program?
As a convenience, lunches are catered by Jefferson Regional Medical Center daily. Students may purchase lunch each day for a fee (usually $3). Lunch orders must be called or turned into the office daily before 9:00 a.m.
- Is St. Joseph Catholic School Accredited?
Yes, St. Joseph is accredited through the Arkansas Nonpublic School Accrediting Association, which is recognized by the Arkansas Department of Education. All teachers maintain the proper degrees and certifications for teaching in their respective content areas.
- Do Students Attend Religious Services?
Yes, all students are required to attend weekly Mass. However, Catholic schools do not indoctrinate students and have the highest esteem for our students of other faith traditions. Currently, 70% of our students are non-Catholic. Religious education classes are offered daily in Morality, Church History, Old and New Testament, and Social Justice. All students enrolled at St. Joseph are required to volunteer in the community one hour per week (36 hours total per year) as part of their service learning.
- Do you offer extracurricular activities?
St. Joseph’s has a wide variety of Extra Curricular Activities: Golf, Basketball, Baseball for boys, Tennis for boys and girls, Volleyball and basketball for girls. Pep Squad, Key Club, Student Council, 4-H Club, Year Book, and Math Club.
